    Start by pausing and taking a few slow, deep breaths. Notice any feelings of tension, sadness, or worry in your body, and allow yourself to acknowledge them without judgment. Bring your attention to the present moment, focus on the sounds you hear, the feeling of your feet on the ground, or the rhythm of your breath. Remind yourself that it’s okay to feel this way and that everyone experiences moments of isolation or social stress.

    If it helps, try sending kind thoughts to yourself, like “May I be calm, may I feel connected.” Mindfulness can help you accept your feelings, ease your stress, and gently remind you that you’re not alone.
