When depression makes everything feel heavy and dark, it can help to start really small. Try the ‘one kind thing’ practice just do one gentle thing for yourself each day, no matter how simple. Maybe it’s drinking a glass of water and actually noticing how it feels, or stepping outside for a breath of fresh air.
These little acts of kindness towards yourself can be a quiet reminder that you deserve care, even on the toughest days.
